Norwegian Lapland is the perfect setting if you are looking to spend your holiday in peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings or prefer an action filled break with snowmobiles, husky safaris or skiing.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Fly with Scandinavian Airlines to Alta in northern Norway via Oslo and self transfer to Hotel Vica for check-in. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 2
Breakfast at Hotel Vica and free time to explore the town of Alta.

In the afternoon you’ll be transferred to Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel (Alta Igloo Hotel). Enjoy dinner at Laksestua restaurant (payable locally)

We have included free use of hot tubs at Alta Igloo. Remember to bring your swim wear!

The indoor temperature in the igloo hotel varies between -4 c and -7 c degrees. You spend the night wrapped up comfortably in sleeping bags and reindeer skins.

Day 3
Warm up in the sauna and have breakfast at the Igloo hotel

At 10 o’clock you’ll set off for a snowmobile safari on the Finnmarksvidda. Lunch is served en route in the wilderness. Transfer back to Alta town centre in the afternoon and check in to Vica Hotel. Dinner at the hotel.

Evening is for leisure. Relax in hotel’s hot tub*, hopefully under the Northern Lights!

Day 4
Breakfast and self transfer to Alta airport
Fly with SAS scheduled flight back to home via Oslo.

Please note! Accommodation in double room consists of two twin beds.

Hotel, Activity and Local Information

Sorrisniva Igloo hotel (Alta Igloo)

The temperatures inside the Igloo remain constant between minus 4 and minus 7 degrees centigrade.You will sleep on natural reindeer hide mattresses and special sleeping bags designed to keep you warm in temperatures down to minus 30 degrees centigrade.

The hotel is decorated with superb ice-sculptures and outside in the 'relax area' there are two heated whirlpools where you can sit under the starry skies and hopefully view the Northern Lights overhead.

Vica Hotel

Thon Hotel Vica is the ideal hotel for those who want good personal service in cosy surroundings. Our guests are accommodated in 24 warm and welcoming high-standard rooms, and can enjoy the use of our outdoor relaxing area while looking at the beautiful Altafjord with its surrounding mountains. Relax in hot tubs (hopefully) under the Northern Lights!
