Choose to stay in one of the main hotel’s double bedrooms, a traditional Kelo Cottage, made from fully mature pine trees, or a Fjell Top Cottage, a two-storey loghouse built on top of the fell with spectacular views.
Day 2 Snowmobile safari
Enjoy a buffet breakfast before getting ready for your snowmobile safari. You will be provided with thermal clothes and boots, given full instructions and a safety briefing. Skim up and down the snow-covered hills, through ice-laden forests and glide over frozen lakes and swamps.
Days 3–4 Optional excursions
These days are free for you to relax, explore the area or try another activity. Options include husky safaris, ice fishing and trips in search of the Northern Lights.
Day 5 Snowshoe excursion
Take a snowshoe hike over the hilltop and track native animals and birds in the snow, before returning in the evening and hopefully catching a glimpse of the gorgeous red sunsets the area is famed for.
Day 6 Optional excursions
Today is another free day for you to choose your own activities. One exciting option is downhill skiing, which very few hotels in Lapland offer.
Day 7 Reindeer farm
Transfer to a traditional reindeer farm where you’ll learn about reindeer husbandry, help feed the reindeer and enjoy a short sleigh ride. The reindeer farmer will then invite you inside for a hot drink, some reindeer sandwiches and a few local sweet delicacies beside his roaring log fire.
Day 8 departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
