Ice Hotel and Stockholm, Sweden

from £860 per person

A cool capital and a masterpiece of ice and snow!

Start your arctic adventure by staying one night in Stockholm at design hotel Sign. There is no better way to start your holiday than soaking up in a roof top spa and admiring incredible panoramic views over wintry Stockholm.

Stockholm is the scene of Scandinavian design and international trends, where even the seasoned traveller always discovers something new. Each part of the city is different, so those in search of more hidden gems should boldly venture further away from Drottningsgatan and let the underground carry them away from the city centre. Ostermalm is where you will find designer brands and Vasastan is the Mecca of antiques buffs, while Sodermalm boasts the trendiest cafes and shops in the whole of Stockholm.

The following day you fly to Kiruna where the famous Ice Hotel lies. Every winter, a new Ice Hotel is built, and thousands of guests spend a night between Ice Hotel's glittering walls in northern Sweden. You sleep on an ice bed of warm insulating reindeer hides in an ultra-warm sleeping bag that is provided by Ice Hotel. The snow gives you protection against the cold, and the sensation of security and purity surrounds you at the Ice Hotel. The bedroom temperature is around -5 degrees Celsius. Even if its -40 degrees outside!!

Departures every day from 10-29 December 2009 and 30 December 2009 to 18 April 2010.
