Tours

This independent rail tour will see you journey from Stockholm to Sweden’s northernmost town of Kiruna, 90 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Travelling for the most part on the terrific Inlandsbanan, Sweden’s 1,300km inland railway, and staying in hotels and ski chalets along the way, you’ll get to attend perhaps the biggest event in Lapland, the 400-year-old Jokkmokk winter market. The three-day event draws indigenous Sami people from across the region and is a wonderful opportunity to engage in Sami culture. There are reindeer races to watch, dogsled rides, films, lectures, traditional Sami songs and all manner of stalls and handicrafts. Other highlights of the trip include cross-country skiing, outdoor hot tubs, a full-day tour of the famous ICEHOTEL and a chance of spotting the elusive Northern Lights.
