Finland has more of the white stuff than just about anywhere in Europe, which makes it ideal for snowbound activities. PRICES & DATES

Price includes return economy class flights to Ivalo via Helsinki, all airport taxes, return airport transfers, 3 nights in a small log cabin with private facilities, sauna and fireplace, 1 night in snow igloo, 4 breakfasts and 4 dinners. Please note that if you are travelling early in the season, snow igloos may not be available in which case we recommend booking glass igloo instead.

Departures daily 1 December 2012-30 April 2013.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Fly with Finnair to Ivalo via Helsinki, transfer to Kakslauttanen Hotel and Igloo village. Check in to your log cabin. Each log cabin has its own sauna and a fire place. Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant. 

Days 2 - 3
Breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. These days are for leisure. Maybe snowmobile safari, husky safari, cross country skiing or perhaps you feel like something more relaxing like a snow shoe trip into the forest or a reindeer safari?

Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy the snowy landscape on a safari or just chill out at the hotel. Alternatively you can visit the nearby ski resort of Saariselkä.

Tonight you will sleep in a snow igloo. It is totally quiet inside the igloo. Lights inside ice illuminate the Igloo. They make the atmosphere so exciting that you will not get bored of marvelling it, until you fall to deep, comfortable sleep in your warm down sleeping bag. Besides warm sleeping bag, we provide you woollen socks and hood. The temperature inside Snow Igloo stays always between -3c and -6c so that you will never feel cold.

Day 5
After the night in an Igloo it is time for a warming sauna. Breakfast is served in hotel’s restaurant.

Transfer back to Ivalo airport and flights back home via Helsinki.

Hotel Kakslauttanen

Surrounded by stunning and exotic Lappish scenery, Kakslauttanen offers private first class log cabins. Each cabin has its own fireplace, kitchenette, private facilities and sauna and is scattered sufficiently apart from each other. The cabins are made of rare dead standing pine, typical to Lapland. Choose between small log cabin, which sleeps up to 4 people in twin bedroom and 2 bunk beds or large log cabin sleeping up to 5 people in 2 separate bedrooms (twin and bunk beds) and 1 extra bed in living room. Meals are served in the main building in fully licensed restaurant. The famous Igloo village has Ice Gallery with an ice chapel decorated with ice sculptures and bar made of ice, perfect for snowy weddings! The village also has snow igloos and unique glass igloos built of heated thermal glass. Hotel Kakslauttanen also features luxurious Queen suite log cabin which comes with a private outdoor hot tub, luxurious bathroom and four poster bed.
