The chances to see the Northern Lights are optimal with our new weekend break in Finnish Lapland. You will go out on snowshoes as well as snowmobiles at nighttime, which will maximize your chances of seeing the Northern Lights. During the days you get to do husky and reindeer safaris.
Hotel Harriniva is among the best places to see the aurora borealis. Hotel has daily information about cloudiness, aurora activity and different means to let you see them. Luckily the best time to see the auroras is before midnight, usually around 21:00. When the Northern lights show up, the hotel switches all the lights off allowing you to observe the lights without artificial lights around. Harriniva’s location by River Muonio also offers beautiful surroundings for taking photographs. It is possible to stay in an igloo during your stay.
