Tours

Surrounded by Lapland's exotic and stunning scenery, Hotel Kakslauttanen offers a perfect setting for a romantic snowy honeymoon. Stay in first class log cabin which is built of rare dead standing pine and scattered around sufficiently far apart so that each cabin has its own peaceful garden area. All the cabins even have own sauna and fireplace.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like wrapping up in a warm sleeping bag, sipping a hot drink and dozing off to sweet dreams in a bedroom made of snow? In Kakslauttanen this is possible. Stay the last night of your honeymoon in a snow igloo. The temperature in the igloo stays always between -3 and -6 C degrees; you will be equipped with a warm sleeping bag, woollen socks and a cap to give you extra comfort.

Alternatively you can upgrade your log cabin to a Queen suite which boasts a four poster bed, a heated private Jacuzzi on the terrace and a luxurious sauna department. If sleeping in a snow igloo sounds too chilly, you could stay in a unique glass igloo. You will be able to marvel the amazing Northern Lights and the millions of stars in the sky while lying in the bed! The experience is also unforgettable when there is a snowstorm. The glass igloos are built of thermo glass which is why the temperature in the igloo stays around +20 C degrees.

During the days there is a possibility to take on optional activities such as snowmobile, reindeer and snowmobile safaris. Finland has more of the white stuff than just about anywhere else in Europe which makes it perfect for snow bound activities. You can learn to drive your own husky team, speed up your snowmobile across the snowy fells or enjoy a relaxing ride in a reindeer sleigh.
