Norway is a perfect setting for a snowy honeymoon offering beautiful and exotic scenery and high standards of service and cuisine.
Our 6 day itinerary starts with a stay in the Norwegian capital and its best hotel: Grand Hotel. The Grand Hotel first opened its doors in 1874. The Louis XVI revival style building, with its hint of Nordic art nouveau and characteristic clock tower from 1913, is right on Karl Johan’s Gate, Oslo's main street, and stands as a symbol of a first-class hotel with tradition, atmosphere and style. The central location of the hotel makes it a perfect base for exploring the capital.
After a stay in Oslo you will fly across the Arctic Circle to Alta which lies below the auroral zone and offers a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Check in to Hotel Vica and stay the first night at sumptuous Farmer’s suite which has a four poster bed, sparkling wine, fruit and with a champagne breakfast served in your room. Do not forget to visit the hotel’s outdoor hot tubs! There hardly is better way of hunting the Northern Lights than sipping champagne and soaking in a hot tub under the starry skies!
The following day you will be taken to Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, formerly known as Alta Igloo. Enjoy a dinner and a guided tour around the hotel before you retire to your igloo. Wrapped in a thermal sleeping bag you will sleep on reindeer skins. A warming sauna is waiting for you in the morning. After breakfast it is time to set off for a snowmobile safari to Finnmark mountain plateau. Lunch is served en route before returning back to Hotel Vica where you will spend the last night.
