Prices are based on 2 people sharing and include return flights with SAS from London Heathrow to Stockholm & Lulea, 2 nights accommodation at the Hotel Diplomat in Stockholm in a standard room on a BB basis, 2 nights at the Elite Stadshotellet in Lulea in a standard room on a BB basis, 2 nights accommodation at the Treehotel in Harads in a cabin of your choice* on a BB basis, airport transfers in Lulea, transfer to the Treehotel and return transfer from the Treehotel to Lulea airport.
*Price includes all cabins except the Mirrorcube for which a supplement applies.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Stockholm
Fly to Stockholm with SAS from Heathrow. You’ll be staying at the 4* luxury boutique Hotel Diplomat. Its understated elegance and warm contemporary feel makes it one of our favourite hotels.
Day 2: Stockholm
Stockholm is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, draped across 14 islands, where Lake Malaren meets the Baltic Sea, Everywhere you look you are surrounded by water, and in the winter, when it’s elegant baroque buildings are topped with snow and children skate along the frozen lakes it feels like you are living in an advent calendar - or on the set of the Millennium trilogy. For first time visitors the Vasa Museum is a must but Gamla Stan, the shopping and gastronomic delights keep people returning to Scandinavia’s capital time and time again.
Day 3: Lulea
With 16 connections a day from Stockholm to Lulea in the heart of Swedish Lapland you can decide if you wish to linger for longer in Stockholm or transport yourself into the wilderness of Swedish Lapland. The town of Lulea, your base for the next two nights, boasts Sweden’s northern most university, a UNESCO World Heritage site and is fast becoming the winter activity centre of the region.
You will be met at the airport and transferred to the taken to the 4* luxury Elite Stadshotellet located in a beautiful art nouveau building opposite the town square.
The rest of your day is at your leisure. Depending on your arrival time you may be able to take part in an evening snow mobile or snow-showing excursion and perhaps catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Alternatively a leisurely stroll around the town followed by a meal in the hotel restaurant can be equally enjoyable.
Day 4: Winter Activities in Lulea
The day is free to choose your activities. Options include ice driving - speeding round special tracks in an old Volvo, take a hovercraft tour to the edge of the pack ice or jump aboard the ice-classified Arctic Explorer and sail through an endless ice landscape - even brave the freezing waters in your very own survival suit. Day 5: Treehotel
Today you depart for the Treehotel just 1.5 hr north of Lulea. We have arranged a private guided transfer and you’ll be taken along the Luleå river valley as well as visiting the world heritage Gammelstad Church village. Upon arrival check-in to your chosen cabin. The afternoon/evening is at your leisure giving you time to absorb and breathe in the atmosphere. We can arrange dinner in the guesthouse should you so wish.
Day 6: Treehotel
Breakfast is taken in the guesthouse. The remainder of the day is up to you. As well as being able to choose innovative and inventive cabins, you have a number of activities and experiences to enhance your stay and truly immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. Learn about the local Sami culture or the take the chance to try some local winter activities from ice-fishing to building your own igloo. Alternatively an informative but leisurely walking tour of Harads or sleigh ride may appeal. Speak to your travel expert to discuss all the options available to you.
Day 7: Home
We will arrange a private transfer back to Lulea airport at a time to suit you and your returning flight home - having experienced the best that Sweden and Swedish Lapland has to offer.
Travel Tip: for the truly adventurous you could extend your stay further. We would recommend taking the train further north to Kiruna for an overnight stay at the legendary ICEHOTEL.
