Come and enjoy the fascinating beauty of the Lappish nature on a short winter adventure. During the days you can experience Lapland on a snowmobile- and husky safari. The safaris take you to the snowy wilderness of Western Lapland and you travel across fells and forests by a husky sledge and a snowmobile.
Comfortable accommodation at family owned hotel and good Lappish food in addition to action packed safaris make this winter adventure a perfect break for anyone! Hotel Harriniva sits by the Muonio River in Western Lapland. The hotel has a large husky farm with over 200 eager huskies, snow igloos and a Wellness Centre where you can indulge yourself after an action packed day outdoors.
Price is based on 2 people sharing a room and includes return economy class flights from London Heathrow/Manchester to Kittila via Helsinki, all airport taxes, return airport transfers Kittilä-Harriniva-Kittilä, 4 nights accommodation in Harriniva hotel in double/twin room, breakfasts and dinners daily, hotel saunas daily between 5pm and 7pm (separately for men and women), snowmobile safari 30 km (2 persons per snowmobile), husky safari 17 km (2 persons per husky team) and thermal clothing.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Sunday
Fly from London Heathrow or Manchester to Kittilä via Helsinki and transfer to Harriniva Hotel which lies by Muonio River in Western Lapland. Check in to your room for 4 nights. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Monday
Breakfast at the hotel. At noon you will meet your guide who will give you the snowmobile driving instructions and tell you the safety regulations. After that you will start the safari through forests, fells and frozen lakes. Safari is also suitable for beginners. The distance you drive today is approx 30 km.
The afternoon is at leisure. You can go skiing on your own or book additional safaris such as reindeer safari or snowshoe excursion.
After action packed day a relaxing sauna is waiting for you. The dinner is served in the restaurant.
Day 3: Tuesday
After breakfast you will meet with your guide and happy huskies - there are over 400 husky dogs in Harriniva husky farm. After the safety instructions you will start the 2-hour husky safari and set off for a 17 km long safari through snowy wilderness. Afternoon is free time for optional activities.

Day 4: Wednesday
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is for leisure. You can go skiing or make a snowshoe tour or book additional programmes.

After the breakfast transfer to Kittilä airport and flight home via Helsinki.
Hotel, Activity and Local Information
Harriniva Hotel
Harriniva Holiday Centre is a cosy, back to nature, small hotel located in western Lapland close to the Swedish border by Muonio River. The hotel is beautifully decorated and built entirely of wood and stone to a high standard. All guest rooms have private facilities and are non-smoking and do not have TV's. The idea is that you leave 'normal' worries behind, relax and enjoy nature during your stay here. Harriniva has several wilderness cabins across Western Lapland, which are used for overnight safaris. The hotel also has igloos and Aurora Wellness centre which offers beauty and spa treatments, saunas and outdoor jacuzzis. Harriniva restaurant offers local delicacies as well as international dishes.
