Wilderness husky safari in Lapland

from £1,499 per person

Discover Europe's last wilderness on a husky sled

Did you know that the cleanest air in Europe is in Pallas-Ylläs National Park in North-West Lapland? Our 5-day husky tour follows the forests and frozen lakes on the edge of the national park. Each participant drives his own dog-sled team of 4-6 dogs. The daily distances vary between 25 and 40 kilometres, depending on your physical condition and the weather. This safari is a unique opportunity to admire the untouched nature of Lapland! Fire making skills are tested during the overnights in the simple wilderness huts.

Price is based on travelling in low season (November, early December, early January). Price includes return economy class flights from London Heathrow/Manchester to Kittila via Helsinki, all airport taxes, return airport transfers, 2 overnights in log cabins near Harriniva, 4 overnights in wilderness huts, complete equipment (thermo-overall, boots, socks, mittens, warm hat, sleeping bag), 1 dog team of 4-6 dogs for each participant, full board (from dinner on first day to breakfast on last day) and a qualified wilderness guide. Accommodation is shared with other participants. No single supplement on this tour!

Departures every Sunday 22 November 2009 to 17 April 2010. Christmas departure on the 20th of December and New Year on the 28th of December.

Please contact us for winter 2011 departures and prices.
