Winter adventure in Ylläs

from £875 per person

Lapland’s pure and serene nature is a wonderful setting for a winter break! Whether you love peace and quiet or have an action packed holiday in mind, you will find a perfect setting in Ylläs.

The Ylläs area consists of seven fells and two original Lappish villages. At 718 m, Ylläs fell itself is one of the highest fells in Finnish Lapland. The fell area creates perfect possibilities for down hill skiing, snow boarding as well as telemark skiing not forgetting the various other snowbound activities such as snowmobile, reindeer and husky safaris.

The family owned log cabin hotel Ylläshumina is located at the foot of Ylläs fell, on the shores of Lake Äkäslompolojärvi, around 125 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The Qvist family is running the 60 year old hotel and welcomes guests to stay with them all year round. The hotel enjoys a naturally peaceful location where the beautiful fell landscape changes through the four seasons from sparkling white in the winter to verdant green in the summer. The only thing you can hear is silence – morning, noon and night. The hotel is known for its mouthwatering cuisine so be sure to try some Lappish delicacies. After a meal you can pop for a night cap in the legendary Humina Pub.

Departures every day from 4th of January to 18th of April 2009. Please contact us for winter 2010/2011 prices.
