Imagine sitting in a sled pulled by reindeer, gliding in near silence through a snow-laden forest towards a very special venue – a chapel made entirely of ice and snow and decorated with shimmering ice sculptures. If you’re lucky, it won’t just be confetti that fills the sky above your heads, but a dazzling display of the Aurora Borealis.
Our Finnish winter wedding includes a four-night stay in an authentic log cabin at Hotel Kakslauttanen. Each cabin is equipped with a fireplace, bathroom, kitchenette and private sauna. Your wedding can take place on any weekday and includes a four-course wedding dinner. You’re free to tailor the arrangements to suit your own requirements. You could opt to hold the ceremony in a romantic wooden chapel or to round off proceedings with a heartfelt performance of traditional Lappish songs. You’ll spend your wedding night in a romantic snow igloo (other options are available) and the next few days trying optional activities, from dogsled safaris to snowmobile excursions.
You can choose to get married in the ice chapel (available between end of January and mid-April) or in a romantic wooden chapel (available all year round) located close to the hotel.
