Day 2 » Sámi reindeer experience & e-snowmobile adventure
Set yourself up for an action-packed day ahead with a hearty breakfast this morning. You’ll soon set off into the Arctic wilderness to get acquainted with the local reindeer and learn all about the unique connection between these semi-wild animals and the indigenous Sámi people. Then, you’ll hop on a traditional sledge and let these gentle creatures guide you through the snow-covered landscapes – a wonderfully tranquil way to immerse yourself in the pristine nature of Finnish Lapland. Afterwards, warm up beside a roaring fire in a kota (Sámi) tent with a hot drink and cookies while the reindeer herder shares stories about the Sámi way of life. There will also be an opportunity to feed the reindeer and take pictures with them during your visit.
In the afternoon, you’ll head out on another adventure in the snow-cloaked Arctic wilderness, this time by e-snowmobile – a sustainable way of gliding between the region’s frozen lakes and snowy forests without disturbing the peace and quiet of this natural environment. Along the way, you’ll make a short stop to enjoy hot drinks beside a bonfire and embrace the silence and serenity of the Arctic in winter. You’ll then return to the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel for dinner and another chance of spotting the Northern Lights this evening.

Day 3 » Husky sledding, Lappish sauna & Northern Lights
This morning, you’ll enjoy one of Finnish Lapland’s most exhilarating winter activities: husky sledding. First, you’ll meet a group of friendly and energetic huskies, followed by a short lesson introducing you to the basics of ‘mushing’ (the art of steering a sled). Once you’re all kitted out and ready to go, you’ll lead your own team of huskies as you glide along gentle trails that wind through snowy forests – a truly magical experience.
Later on, it’s time to relax in a Lappish wood sauna which is heated to the optimal temperature that brings a host of health benefits. There’s also the option to further enhance your sauna experience with forest-scented aroma infusions and essential oils. If you’re feeling brave, you might even be tempted to take an invigorating dip in the snow outside before retreating back to the warmth of the sauna – a wellness ritual often practiced by Finns. Afterwards, you’re welcome to unwind in the cosy lounge area with a refreshing drink and some snacks.
Come darkness, you’ll venture out on a guided Northern Lights hunt, heading to a viewing location far away from any artificial light pollution. While you wait for the aurora to make an appearance, you’ll cosy up next to an open fire as your guide shares stories about this celestial phenomenon, accompanied by warm drinks and traditional Lappish delicacies. With a little luck regarding clear skies and solar activity, you’ll witness the Northern Lights illuminating the night sky in all their glory.
