Day by day itinerary

  • Day 1 » Arrive at Hidden Arctic Cloud Villas

On arrival in Rovaniemi, the gateway to Finnish Lapland, a private transfer will bring you to the Hidden Arctic Cloud Villas, discreetly tucked away in a forest around 20 minutes outside the city centre. Combining classic Lappish aesthetics with sleek, contemporary design, the villas epitomise Nordic luxury at its finest. Each one comes with a sauna, an outdoor terrace and a Jacuzzi, three bedrooms, a spacious lounge with a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views of the surrounding Arctic nature.

As well as breakfast and dinner throughout your stay, your villa will also be replenished daily with drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks. You’ll also have access to warm, thermal clothing for all your excursions during your stay.

  • Day 2 » Snowmobile safari, reindeer experience & Northern Lights hunt

Enjoy a hearty breakfast in your villa this morning before setting off on the first of your exhilarating excursions – a snowmobile safari. Gliding effortlessly through the forests along snow-laden trails on an eco-friendly, electric-powered snowmobile, it’s a wonderful way to discover the enchanting winter landscapes of Finnish Lapland. Along the way, you’ll pause at a traditional Lappish hut for a hot berry juice beside a roaring fire. Afterwards, a transfer will bring you to a local restaurant for lunch (pay locally).

There’s no let up in the excitement today as you’ll soon be venturing out once more, this time on a reindeer sleigh ride that’ll lead you between snowy forests and frozen lakes. As part of the experience, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into the culture and traditions of the region’s indigenous Sámi people.

It’s then time to return to the villa for dinner, followed by a Northern Lights hunt this evening. Your personal host will keep a close eye on the latest conditions and alert you to the best time to spot the Northern Lights. Either on foot or by car, you’ll be led to a carefully chosen location with optimal aurora viewing conditions, all while listening to ancient tales and legends about the Northern Lights. With a slice of good fortune, you’ll be able to marvel at a dazzling display of the aurora dancing across the night sky.

  • Day 3 » Husky sledding & ice floating

After breakfast at your villa, you’ll head to a local husky farm for a thrilling husky sledding adventure. Two people typically share a sled, with one person 'mushing' as the other sits below, with the opportunity to switch roles along the way. Children must be accompanied by an adult. It’s a truly magical experience, as you feel the rush of the crisp Arctic air while speeding through idyllic winter landscapes in the company of these ceaselessly energetic, furry creatures. Lunch will then be arranged at a local restaurant (payable locally).

In the afternoon, a completely unique experience awaits as you’ll enjoy a private Arctic floating session. Wearing an insulated floating suit to keep you warm and dry, you’ll drift effortlessly on the icy waters, enveloped by the serenity and solitude of the surrounding forests. This experience offers a deep connection to the region’s tranquil nature, and will leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated.

Later on, return to your villa for another fabulous dinner and a relaxing session in your private sauna or Jacuzzi to round off a memorable day.
