A new air route linking Tromso in Norway, Luleå in Sweden and Oulu in Finland was launched earlier this month.

The new link – operated by NextJet – is called Arctic Airlink and is an exciting addition to Scandinavian travel, allowing you to combine a trip to Tromso with Swedish Lapland.

Both destinations are ideal for viewing the Northern Lights, meaning the new link really allows for the ultimate winter-break weekend!

Tromso is Norway’s aurora capital, and is also excellent for viewing a wide-range of whales including humpback and killer. Visit Malangen Resort – it’s just an hour out of Tromso and framed by the spectacular fjords and mountains of Arctic Norway.

Then, transfer to Luleå in Swedish Lapland, a region full of stunning landscapes. Don’t miss the Treehotel, a high-design back-to-nature retreat where you can enjoy wildlife, switch off and slow down.

Take a trip to the Sörbyn Lodge & Aurora Safari Camp, a place with terrific potential of Northern Lights viewing and dogsled touring with pure bred Siberian huskies.

All three towns are also university towns, and are in direct cooperation in business, academic, urban, administrative and tourism sectors, meaning it is a valuable addition to the infrastructure.

The flight service started on 12 January 2015 and operates on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Speak to our team for more information or to plan your winter break to Norway and Sweden.
