Day 1 » Stockholm
Arrive in the Swedish capital and enjoy your first evening wandering the streets of the buzzing Old Town, Gamla Stan. Find a table at one of the many charming restaurants and enjoy your first taste of Baltic cuisine, and perhaps a locally brewed beer or two.

Day 2 » Stockholm and cruise
The next day explore the rest of the city, home to many superb cultural gems including more than 70 museums and galleries, notably the Vasa Museum, home to the world's only intact 17th century warship to have ever been salvaged. In the evening, board your Tallink Silja ship for an overnight cruise to Helsinki, sailing out through the stunning Stockholm Archipelago.

Day 3 » Helsinki
There are few better ways to arrive in a new city than by sea, and after you've enjoyed a sumptuous buffet breakfast, disembarked and checked in to the Scandic Simonkenttä hotel, you can start exploring the lively Finnish capital on foot. It's a green, pleasant city, distinctive for its neoclassical buildings and town squares. Be sure not to miss the Ateneum Art Museum, the home of Finland's largest art collection. Another architectural highlight is Tuomiokirkko, the Lutheran cathedral, set atop steep granite steps and providing fine views across the city.

Day 4 » Tallinn / Helsinki
After breakfast you'll depart for Tallinn. A 90-minute boat ride takes you across the Gulf of Finland to the Estonian capital, where you can explore one of the Baltic's most exciting cities. The mix of old, medieval buildings and the contemporary character of its shops makes for an interesting visit. In the late afternoon you'll head back to Helsinki where you'll spend your last night.
