Day 1 » UK to Luleå
After a short flight to Luleå, you'll be whisked away on an included transfer to Brändön Lodge, perched on the edge of the spectacular Bothnian Bay. On arrival, you will be provided with your own winter clothing kit, for use throughout your stay. Take in the spectacular views from the main cabin, overlooking the frozen sea and the surrounding Lappish wilderness, before settling into your own cabin, set away from the central lodge. Tonight, you'll enjoy a three-course dinner at the resort's restaurant, from a menu featuring Arctic delicacies such as home-smoked moose and reindeer meat. Before cosying up in your cabin for the night, take a stroll around the resort to see if you can spot the Northern Lights.

Day 2 » Snowshoeing in the forest
After breakfast, it's time to strap on your snowshoes and explore the winter wonderland on your doorstep. An included winter skills tour takes you into the nearby forests, where expert guides will teach you how to get around by snowshoe, prepare a fire and make hot drinks over the open flames. Listen to stories of local life and learn about cultural traditions over an authentic wilderness lunch, which is served in a traditional Sámi teepee. On your return to the lodge, perhaps add on optional excursions like husky sledding or a hovercraft journey on the sea. Alternatively, hire purpose-built fatbikes and hit the trails – the Bothnian Bay is criss-crossed by a network of thick ice roads in winter. Tonight, you'll dine once more in the hotel's onsite restaurant.

Day 3 » Snowmobiling & Northern Lights
This morning is all about adrenaline, as you head out on snowmobiles for a two hour trip through Luleå's snow-covered forests and across its frozen sea and lakes. Expect to be shown some of the prettiest views and wildlife hotspots as you follow your expert guide, sticking to established snowmobile trails for a minimal impact on the environment. You'll pause regularly to take in the scenery, enjoying hot drinks and lunch along the way. This afternoon, spend some free time at the lodge, recovering from the morning's activities in one of the dedicated sauna cabins. Tonight is all about the Northern Lights, as you glide out into the wilderness on a snowmobile drawn sled filled with reindeer pelts and warm blankets. Your guides will take you to the best viewing spots, explaining the science behind the phenomenon as you gather around an open fire. Sip tea, coffee or hot chocolate and enjoy a warm cake as you wait for the Aurora to make an appearance.
