Fly first to Helsinki, and connect with a flight up into Finnish Lapland and the town of Ivalo. You’ll then be transferred to your cosy lodge at the Wilderness Hotel, and have time to settle in before you enjoy an evening trying to spot the Northern Lights!

Day 2 » Nellim
Today is the day to practice your dogsledding skills, as you’ll spend three hours mushing across Lake Inari – all frozen over into icy splendour. After enjoying the thrills of this timeless mode of transport, sampling the views and the excitement of controlling the pack, head back to the hotel for lunch and a relaxing afternoon – activities resume when darkness falls and with luck the Northern Lights are switched back on for your enjoyment!

Day 3 » Nellim
Swap the dogs for an engine instead – the morning’s activities involve a guided snowmobile safari, taking you far out into the wilderness and showcasing the beauty of the winter landscape and its inhabitants. A wilderness lunch taken by an open campfire is also included.
Later this evening, you’ll also be able to catch a snowmobile sleigh to another secluded camp where you’ll have a fantastic final chance to view the aurora.

Transfer to the airport for your return flights, before continuing your journey home.
