With a full appreciation of a south Iceland’s natural beauty followed by an ice-cap walk, this is really two of Iceland’s greatest experiences in one. It’s the chance to combine lush farmlands, powerful volcanoes and thundering waterfalls with true adventure.

Starting out, you’ll be picked up at your accommodation for the drive out of Reykjavik. Your first stop is Skógafoss, arguably Iceland’s most iconic waterfall for its overwhelming 60m drop. It’s often graced by pretty rainbows that are said to point towards Viking treasures buried behind its torrents. It’s then on to Sólheimajökull Glacier where you’ll suit up in harnesses, crampons and helmets for the trip on to its cool-blue expanse, your certified guide bringing you between cragged peaks and otherworldly landscapes. However, your trip’s not over after an hour spend on its moonscape, with Seljalandsfoss waterfall up next. It’s the grand finale to your day out, offering the chance to walk right behind its thunderous cascades before you’re dropped back at your hotel.
