Day 1 » UK to Tromso
Fly to Tromso for an included shuttle-bus transfer to the city and check into the Clarion Collection Hotel Aurora. It’s ideally situated within walking distance of the harbour and iconic Arctic Cathedral. You’ll also be well placed for exploring the mountain crags and serene fjords that surround the city, views of which can be enjoyed from rooms and restaurant alike. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy complimentary afternoon waffles and coffee before indulging in the hotel’s sauna and outdoor rooftop Jacuzzi, overlooking the city’s snow-dusted surrounds. Come evening, there’s a light buffet-style Nordic supper available, while for something more substantial, Tromsø’s best restaurants are just a stroll away.

Day 2 » Sommaroy
After breakfast, you’ll immerse yourself in Tromsø’s Arctic wilderness with an included husky sledding adventure, speeding forest trails, the silence interrupted only by the yaps and paw-steps of your eager team. Then, enjoy a wilderness lunch before returning to the hotel for your transfer to the Sommaroy Arctic Hotel. It’s a scenic drive, taking you through the wintry wilds to stay in a charming wood-panelled room, complete with panoramic mountain views. In the evening, indulge in a three-course dinner before a walk to hunt the famous aurora with a local guide, who’ll also share stories of myth and legend from Sommaroy’s intriguing past.

Day 3 » Kvaloya
Join a local guide this morning for a trip out to the island of Kvaløya, where more tranquil fjords and snow-topped mountains set the scene for an abundance of native wildlife. It’s then time to return to the hotel for a well-earned sauna and another delicious three-course dinner, before spending your final evening keeping an eye out for the Northern Lights as they dance their way across the northern sky.
