Stay at the iconic Treehotel and charming Sorbyn Lodge on this adventurous five-day break in Swedish Lapland. As well as staying at two of the region's most distinctive hotels, your trip also includes a full range of unique experiences, from dining on Ice and snowmobiling to a spectacular husky-sled safari.

Day by day itinerary

  • Day 1 » Luleå Archipelago

Fly to Luleå via Stockholm. Arrive in the town of Luleå in the heart of Swedish Lapland and head to Sorbyn Lodge where your adventure begins. Located on a beautiful lake near the small village of Sörbyn, accommodation here includes traditional timber cabins as well as newly built hotel rooms, but it's the outstanding food that grabs most of the headlines, with local ingredients such as fish, moose, reindeer and cloudberries being used to attract locals from miles around. The lack of light pollution makes it an excellent place to watch the Northern Lights, while an impressive array of winter activities includes snowmobile tours, ice fishing, cross-country skiing and most notably husky safaris.

    Stay: Sörbyn Lodge, Sweden

    Meals: Dinner

  • Day 2 » Husky Safari and optional excursions

Begin your morning by enjoying a leisurely breakfast at Sorbyn, enjoying the peace and tranquility surrounding the lodge. After breakfast today enjoy a highlight of your stay at Sorbyn: a very special husky safari with Isdimma Huskies. This is one of the best husky experiences in Scandinavia, a superbly run family business that uses teams of beautiful, purebred Siberian huskies and allows guests the chance to relax with the dogs and learn about their lives, making this a very personal and extremely rewarding experience and a fantastic way to experience the snow-laden forests and frozen lakes of Swedish Lapland.

    Stay: Sörbyn Lodge, Sweden

    Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

  • Day 3 » Treehotel

After breakfast today enjoy some free time in the beautiful surroundings before being transferred to the incredible Treehotel in Harads. Here you will spend two nights in in one of the hotel's unique tree house rooms as well as enjoying some of the many activities on offer. Your accommodation for the night will be in either the Cabin, Bird's Nest, Blue Cone the UFO or, our favourite, the Mirror Cube. Speak to our specialists about the options available as prices can vary. In the evening, enjoy a three-course buffet dinner at Britta's Guesthouse.

These include dog sledding, a horse and sleigh ride or a cultural visit to a Sami village. Another option is an afternoon skiing at the nearby resort of Storklinten. This evening you will experience one of Treehotel’s most unique experiences: Dining on Ice with a chance to see the Northern Lights. The evening is lit by torches and candles while you are served a three-course dinner in a heated tipi tent on an ice covered lake. You'll sit on reindeer skins while enjoying a fantastic meal over two-and-a-half delicious hours.
