The fjords of Svalbard are Arctic Norway at its wildest. And, heading out in an expedition boat, you’ll be treated to their storied highlights, watching as mighty glaciers grow out from tiny lines and into giant walls of ice. Then, alongside sailing among great iceberg formations, you’ll also take in towering mountains and cliffs teeming with birdlife. There’s also a human intrigue, too, with pauses at the heritage homestead of famous hunter Hilmar Nois and the historic hunting area of Bjonahamma – where you’ll take lunch. As you go, be sure to keep your eyes out for seals and other Arctic wildlife. Return accommodation transfers are included either side of the trip.
