Day 1 » UK/Reykjavik
Fly to Keflavik and transfer to your hotel in the centre of Reykjavik, perhaps stopping en route at the Blue Lagoon.

Day 2 » Westman Islands
Leaving Reykjavik you'll travel along the south coast to Landeyjahofn harbour. From here a 30-minute ferry ride takes you to the rugged Westman Islands. Explore Heimaey, the largest island in the Westman Islands archipelago, visit the headland Storhofdi, enjoy a walk up to the crater of a volcano and discover unique flora in the newly created lava field. Following a visit to the Eldheimar Volcano Museum you’ll have a few hours at leisure to explore the islands at your own pace.

Days 3-4 » Vík
Take a ferry back from the Westman Islands and travel further along the south coast, visiting Thorvaldseyri Farm, at the foot of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, and Skogar Folk Museum. Pass Solheimajokull Glacier and volcanic Reynisfjara beach on your way to Vík.

Day 5 » Golden Circle & Reykjavik
Explore the famous Golden Circle, beginning at the thermal area of Geysir, the site that gave spurting geysers all over the world their name. After a stop at Strokkur you'll head to Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most impressive in Iceland, and Þingvellir National Park, the site of the ancient Icelandic parliament and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Reykjavik in the evening and fly home to following day.
