This adventure-packed short break sees you discover Swedish Lapland in luxury fashion. The thrills start from the moment you land as you take your private husky sled transfer from the airport to the spectacular carvings of the ICEHOTEL. Then, the next few days see you embark on anything from cross-country skiing among snow-dusted spruce forests to snowmobiling under the Northern Lights. More serene activities include learning wilderness skills and ice sculpting, as well as exploring the painstakingly-sculpted ICEHOTEL. You'll round off days of adventure in your luxury ice suite, enjoying a heated en-suite and private sauna before wilderness fireside dinners and ice menus – the highlight is a deluxe, 12-course 'Chef’s Table' supper.


Day by day itinerary

  • Day 1 » UK to Kiruna

    After your flight from the UK to Kiruna via Stockholm, you'll be met at the airport, before changing into your protective outer clothing, of which you'll have use throughout the trip. The adventure begins here as you meet your eager team of huskies and sled directly from the airport to the iconic ICEHOTEL. Your guide will take you for a tour of  the exquisite, intricately sculpted suites, each individually carved into an extravagant, themed ice cave. Enjoy a tour of the ICEHOTEL and maybe a cocktail in the ICEBAR before you head to the new, permanent ICEHOTEL 365, where you'll check in to your spectacular Deluxe Suite 365 that includes a heated en-suite bathroom, private sauna and chill-out area. Take a few moments to relax and enjoy your chilled bottle of champagne – to be drunk out of ice-sculpted champagne flutes, naturally. Then, it’s time for a spectacular 5-course ICE dinner in the cosy ICEHOTEL Restaurant, where you can expect the likes of Frøya salmon, Arctic char, moose fillet and reindeer, all served on ice, of course.

  • Day 2 » Cross-country skiing OR Ice-Sculpting, Wilderness skill & Northern Lights by Snowmobile

    Enjoy a warming cup of hot lingonberry juice before relaxing in your personal sauna and enjoying a hearty breakfast to fuel you for today's adventures in the Arctic wilderness. Choose from cross-country skiing lesson, where you will glide through the snow-muffled tundra on your guided lesson before stopping for coffee by an open fire and even spotting Arctic wildlife, from lynx and moose to wolves and Arctic fox. Alternatively, Take an intense course in ice sculpting, where the class starts with the instructor talking about the crystal clear ice, which is harvested from Torne River. After that, you get an introduction on how to use the tools, your own ice block and can let the creativity flow and ice take shape. After lunch (pay locally) check into your home for the next two nights, a cosy warm room in the ICEHOTEL, all natural materials framed by dense spruce forests. Before taking a fun and interactive course in basic wilderness skills. Before long it's time to head out again, this time into dark, star-spangled skies. After the tranquility of today's activities, prepare for an altogether more exhilarating affair as you step onboard growling snowmobiles. With this snowmobile excursion you'll roar over thick forest trails, stopping to enjoy a two-course wilderness dinner by an open fire. With luck, you'll be accompanied by the ethereal tendrils of the Northern Lights.

  • Day 3 » Husky Safari with lunch and 12-course dining with wine paring

    After breakfast, enjoy stepping out once more into the Arctic wilds. It is now your turn to mush a team of huskies. Driving in pairs, the tour begins with a short transfer over the frozen Torne River in a snowmobile sled to the husky kennel. Here you receive instructions before standing on the sled behind your own dog team and drive into the wilderness, following your guide. Half-way you stop at a cozy wilderness cabin, where you are served a traditional lunch. After which you drive the dog sled back to the kennels where you help to unharness the dogs.

     Later, experience nature’s pantry in a more refined fashion with the ICEHOTEL's spectacular 12-course ‘Chef's Table on the Veranda', where Michelin-trained head chef Alexander Meier presents intricate dishes from Kalix, caviar, mussels and king crab to exquisitely-presented truffle, mushrooms, reindeer and moose. It's all done alongside select beverages that perfectly complement each delectable dish.

  • Day 4 » Fly home

    This morning, relax after breakfast before check out and a private transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
