This very special break makes the most of Swedish Lapland’s spellbinding winter landscapes with stays in two stunning hotels. It all begins with the iconic Treehotel, with a night spent on high in one of seven designer cabins suspended in a forest in Swedish Lapland. Then, it's on to the wood-clad cosiness of Loggers Lodge, a seriously stylish private woodland retreat where roaring fires invite evenings of champagne-soaked relaxation and a private outdoor hot tub looks up to the star-strewn night sky. There's also plenty of time for some Arctic exploration, enjoying summer's Midnight Sun with a hike or winter's Northern Lights with an included husky-sled tour.

Your room here is wonderfully cosseting, and super stylish, decked out in native timber and with a huge central fireplace adding to the pervading cosiness. Settle in before heading to the lodge’s restaurant where local dishes range from melt-in-the-mouth moose steaks to Arctic char caught fresh from the nearby rivers. Then, head to the outdoor hot tub to gaze up at star-filled skies and, if conditions are right, the Northern Lights.

Day 3 » Loggers Lodge
Today is set aside for excursions as you join your hosts on a husky-sled ride through the frosty forests. You’ll have a chance to mush your own team before stopping in the wild to soak up the scenery and partake in the Swedish tradition of fika – strong, thick coffee served by a roaring campfire. You’ll then return to the lodge for lunch before more optional Arctic adventures this afternoon; activities range from snowshoeing and snowmobiling to Sami reindeer encounters and Northern Lights photography classes. In the evening, after a snowy dash to the sauna and another superb dinner, there’s still time to for a short hike through the pines to see if you can spot the aurora swirling overhead.
