A stunning break in Swedish Lapland, staying in both a luxurious log cabin and treehouse hotel

» 4 day tailor-made break

» Price from: £3,390

This very special break makes the most of Swedish Lapland’s spellbinding winter landscapes with stays in two stunning hotels. It all begins with the iconic Treehotel, with a night spent on high in one of seven designer cabins suspended in a forest in Swedish Lapland. Then, it's on to the wood-clad cosiness of Loggers Lodge, a seriously stylish private woodland retreat where roaring fires invite evenings of champagne-soaked relaxation and a private outdoor hot tub looks up to the star-strewn night sky. There's also plenty of time for some Arctic exploration, enjoying summer's Midnight Sun with a hike or winter's Northern Lights with an included husky-sled tour.

Day by day itinerary

  • Day 1 » UK/Treehotel

Following your flight, you'll be met at the airport and brought to the  cutting-edge modernism of Treehotel and its collection of from-the-future cabins in the canopy. While you'll choose between the likes of a mirrored cube, a bird’s nest or the all-new Biosphere, each featuring gorgeous views of the snowy pine forests of Harads. After settling in, perhaps step out into the wilds on optional husky safaris and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Then, at the end of a thrilling day, return to the delicious home-cooked food of Brittas Restaurant before settling in for your night among the branches.

    Stay: Treehotel, Sweden

    Meals: Dinner

  • Day 2 » Loggers Lodge

Following breakfast among Brittas' log-lodge chic, an included private transfer will see you on to Loggers Lodge – a private wilderness cabin turned luxury retreat in the very heart of Swedish Lapland. Your room here is wonderfully cosseting, and super stylish, decked out in native timber and with a huge central fireplace adding to the pervading cosiness. Settle in before heading to the lodge’s restaurant where local dishes range from melt-in-the-mouth moose steaks to Arctic char caught fresh from the nearby rivers. Then, head to the outdoor hot tub to gaze up at star-filled skies and, if conditions are right,  the Northern Lights.

    Stay: Loggers Lodge, Harads

  • Day 3 » Loggers Lodge

Today is set aside for excursions as you join your hosts on a husky-sled ride through the frosty forests. You’ll have a chance to mush your own team before stopping in the wild to soak up the scenery and partake in the Swedish tradition of fika – strong, thick coffee served by a roaring campfire. You’ll then return to the lodge for lunch before more optional Arctic adventures this afternoon; activities range from snowshoeing and snowmobiling to Sami reindeer encounters and Northern Lights photography classes. In the evening, after a snowy dash to the sauna and another superb dinner, there’s still time to for a short hike through the pines to see if you can spot the aurora swirling overhead.

    Stay: Loggers Lodge, Harads

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Day 4 » Depart for home
